Melissa Suzanne George from Australia is an actor also inventor and businessperson. She started her career in Australia, and later moved to Hollywood in which she is a huge success. George is an Perth native who became interested initially by artistic skateboarding and dance. At the age of a teenager, George began modeling and was named Western Australia's top model for teens of the year in 1992. The first time she appeared on television was a Seven Network episode of the soap opera Home and Away. The actress made her debut on the big screen in the crime thriller Dark City and essayed various role roles as a supporting actor in shows such as Alias The Limey and Down with Love prior to debuting as the female protagonist in the mainstream Hollywood production in the remake in 2005 of The Amityville Horror.
